OK, so here is Phase I of my veggie kraut balls!! I am
very excited!! How can anything with sauerkraut, cream cheese, and hot peppers be anything less than delicious, right??!!
I used the OP's recipe with some modifications....veggie crumbles for the sausage, a bunch of jarred pickled jalapenos, other little tweaks. I licked the spoon and it tastes fabulous (it looks like a brain, and perfectly matches my countertop).
My question, for those who have made this: Do you HAVE to chill it for 3-4 hours? Does it really matter? Cuz I want to fry these bad boys up and eat them, like, right now. I will be eating all of them, as my husband thinks they sound disgusting, and he won't go near my "fake meat," lol.
