Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

I don't think I had THIS exactly, when I was younger... but whenever I scratched, it would leave the red scratch marks for hours... but it wouldn't welt up. Is your kiddo on AIP?
I had it when I was little. They thought I had poison sumac all over my body until they realized that it was my scratching that made the rash. Even w/ my daughter we didn't get a name until we saw an allergist. Not a single dr or nurse in her pediatrician's office had heard of it. She was a poke and prodded for months. They did testing and decided she was having reactions to a bunch of foods and had stomach problems so we had to do a very restrictive diet where she couldn't eat anything on her allergy list, plus a low acid diet. Her allergy list included milk, soy, chicken, & a bunch of fruits and vegs. It was horrible. After her scope showed her stomach didn't have any ulcers she was able to go off the low acid diet, but she was still really restricted. Eventually we just said forget it and now she eats whatever she wants. She has claritin & pepcid to control her issues now. But she has the saddest story... when she started complaining about her stomach hurting years ago we went to see a gastro who said she was constipated & needed to eat more fiber and passed her issues off as IBS.. then she calls me from school b/c her stomach hurts so bad. I take her to the dr and they prescribe her zantac. She took 1 pill and for the first time in YEARS her stomach didn't hurt. It had been hurting constantly to the point that she didn't know your stomach would hurt when you were hungry. She had no idea. Now she takes the meds as needed & that jerkface dr doesn't work in that office anymore. I felt horrible b/c I just did what the idiot dr said. Her new gastro is amazing and really nice and didn't act like she was wasting his time.

ACTUALLY, what does everyone think about THIS?

I can go pick it up today and use it tomorrow. We have a BUTT TON of leaves in our yard right now... and to keep them from being MOIST, I'd need to vacuum them up tomorrow... weather here doesn't look good after that... with too many cloudy and rainy days coming up.... and THIS is why I need to watch the damn weather channel now...

Neighbor has one of those. The bag is to small. She uses it to blow the leaves into a pile for old fashioned scooping up. The battery only lasts a short while too.

My daughter has dermographism. Google it if you like freak of nature stuff. She's had it for 7 years now. Basically her body over produces histamine and you can literally draw on her skin. It's not as bad as it used to be where it would Hive up, but now if she scratches herself or are puts too much pressure on her skin she gets a red spot that will turn white. It goes away after a few minutes but additional pressure causes more histamine to be released so the more she scratches the more she itches. She was on 4 different antihistamines at one point to control it. It's getting better but it's systemic and considered an autoimmune disease. Some people grow out of it other people have it for their entire lives. Because it can be caused by many different things there's really nothing they can do but treat the symptoms. I have some very painful looking photos from years ago. It just started one day after I picked her up from daycare. Hopefully it'll go away completely someday and she'll be able to be normal, but she's not nearly as bad as she used to be.

I would have exactly zero arms left.
We are lucky that mine seemed to grow out of it. I used to do stuff to get her to use her hands, ride bikes, patty-cake just occupy the hands! She got rashes from tags in clothes, laundry detergent was changed, whole 9 yards.

We got a small cordless one from Lowes, to blow out the gutters that fill up with pine needles. The battery only lasts about 1/2 hr, but it is great not to need to haul a cord. Not heavy duty enough for a BUTTon of leaves, though! Go straight for the gas powered one, they do not weigh too much and you can go where ever, no cord.
