Anyone have reptiles/amphibians? Show 'em off!

OH to be honest frillies are so amazing to have they are the kind of lizzard that will actually really get attached to you the big one my male if i let him loose and forget to put him up when i go to bed i will wake up in the morning him crawled in to my bed snugglin up with me..

Same way with Tegu's..my female red tegu would try to crawl up your leg ,so you would pick her up. And my Black and White female would curl up under tye blankets on my bed and sleep by my feet.

These aren't reptiles or amphibians, but I thought you alternative pet/animal lovers would find it interesting. We have a large pond (4 acres) and we have gotten a LOT of rain yesterday, and a lot of the insects who lived on the shore have gotten washed out of their homes. The ants were everywhere, in their giant living rafts. All that brown is completely ants. There were thousands upon thousands trying to get out of the water.

This pretty lady was hanging on for dear life too.

There was an absolutely massive centipede as well, but as I approached, he dove under water.

Wow great pics!! Its kind of sad for the ants and the widow, but served as a good photo op.i would love to see a pic of your pond!!

Thanks, I also felt sort of bad for them considering they were only about a foot from the shore. I coaxed a few balls of ants to the shore with a stick, but as beautiful as the widow was, I didn't want to take my chances. I don't have any pics right now of the pond, I'll try to remember to get some and post them. It's an old pond, at least 80 years that we know of. I love having it, and the wildlife it attracts. Right now we have a resident pair of canadian geese (hopefully they'll nest soon), a pair of kingfishers, a lone great blue heron (poor guy/gal never seems to have a mate) and today we witnessed an osprey visiting from a nearby lake try his hand at fishing here. Occasionally little green herons and bufflehead ducks will visit. It's well stocked with many types of fish, and is home to tons of turtles (including some pretty giant snappers) and frogs. They shallows are COVERED with tadpoles right now. Soon the turtles will also start to nest. We have one high bank that they lay their eggs in each year.

oye! totaly got shivers up my spine seeing that spider but dang that is the most beautiful widow i've ever seen.. even though i would of got like another stick or something and coxed it on it to put it on the land.. but still shivers up my spine ><
