Anyone have Sultans....from Ideal??

I would admit that Ideal seems to take the lead in Sultan quality though. . . But I haven't seen any McMurray Sultans, hmm. . .

That is a different comb shape on your Rooster. Louie-Lu-Li's comb is like a upper case V and red in color.. I will try to get a better close up of his face. He is older now, and his comb has darkened from pink to a red shade.
I love my Sultan. All of the other chickens pick on him all the time. I have to get him at least one girl. LOL!

It does appear that the hens have a more rounded top knot and the roosters have the Punk Rock, Look to the top knot. I love that look better than the top on a Polish for example. I am very interested in the Sultans, now that I have one, and can study the breed up close and personal.

I have 2 Sultan Bantams on order from efowl.com....along with several other bantam breeds

Can't wait to see the Sultans. Right now I have 2 3 month old Sultan/Silkie crosses. That's what got me started on them. They are so far very sweet girls.

My order is coming next week, can't wait!

Hey, I only ordered 2 Sultans last year 1 died (1silkiealso)the first week and the other just recently was put down because it's leg didn't work rite for quite a while. Turned out a cockrel and very sweet & fine otherwise. I really wish he hadn't been disabled. Now last week I hatched some Sullys to replace them & now at 4 days old 1 of the 3 has the same leg stickin out to the side problem. I'm guessing because they vulture hocks?? I really dont know why they keep having leg issues, seems to be the knees?? They're sweet lil chicks and so pretty. I wish I could make a lil tiny brace or somethin to help. The other 2 I pray turn out ok, we're hoping to use 1 for 4H since nobody else ever has had one.
I was happy with the rest of our Ideal birds, the order was a tad off with th D'Uccles.
I ordered 2 ea. of the 6 breeds I ordered all were good as they grew. My only quam was I ordered 2 blue Mille Fleur D'Uccles & 2 Gold neck D'uccles they sent me 1 pullet(thankgosh) Blue MF & 3 Gold neck cocks. I know sex isn't there fault but shesss 3 boys from 1 Banty breed. The boys did turnout pretty ,nice spotting,but I have no hens for that color now. I would use IDEAL again.

Mermaid... did you get your sultans? How are they, and how many? Got pics?

I've got 4 bantam sultans set to ship this coming Wednesday, May 19, from Ideal. I had a white polish, but lost her this year and wanted to get another that looked like her. Since Ideal didn't have white polish, and I'm crazy about bantams, the little sultans seemed like the right solution.

I'm also getting 4 blue silkies, 4 black frizzles, and 4 GLW bantams in the order. Can't wait! Hurry up and get here already!
