Anyone have the Olive Egger Bantams from MyPetChicken?

They are on my want list for this coming season. I believe they are a recent addition. I hope they don't go away before it gets warm enough around here to try some. I would love to hear if anyone has tried them too.

Looks like they have sold out for now. I tried asking MPC what the parent stock looked like, or what breeds composed them and I just got rude responses. I was asking because I don't know of any true bantam breeds that lay colored eggs that could be mixed to create an olive egger, not because i wanted to ""steal the secret formula" !! I think the claim that only true bantam breeds were used is total bogus- im really rethinking buying from them.

I’d like to see them too, but also can’t figure what ‘true’ cross they might be, likely EE and Welsummer bantams at best guess. I was curious about their new Sweet sugar blue sex links too, I’m guessing they are silkie Cochin crosses.
I think you are right about the breeds used.

I have never gotten crabby customer service, but I also have never asked them to reveal their secrets. It is their way of making money, so if everyone knew it no one would order them.

I'm going to guess they're either bantam Ameraucana x bantam Welsummer or a homozygous blue egger bantam EE x bantam Welsummer. They probably drop ship from Meyer.

This is the only image they have of them as adults. Would a bantam amercauna plus a bantam welsummer create such a small bird? They look like true bantams, but im not sure how they managed to make a true bantam easter egger.

They don't drop ship, I actually don't know what that term means. I asked them and was told that they rent warehouse and incubator space from Meyers, some of their birds are from the same stock and some aren't, especially their hatching eggs which are from various breeders from around the country.

I think it could. This is the Meyer Welsummer bantam. He looks pretty small to me but I'm so not an expert on bantams (or anything else, lol):
