Anyone into rare or exotic?

and i forgot to say that yesterday i gave some to my sheep, but she only ate a couple pieces. she wasn't to fond of it although i only tried to give it to her raw and not cooked. oh and my mother in law also likes to boil it in water and then eat it with some olive oil on it with some seasoning. yesterday i picked four they weighed around 2.5 pounds each so they do grow pretty big.

so this probably doesnt go into the exotic category, but today i found two eggplant plants that i had planted last year, but looked like they were going no where so i neglected them for a whole year have decided to grow and one has started to grow a eggplant. now i just wish i hadn't neglected them and those other plants that i had planted with them.oh and couple months ago i ripped out like three other eggplant plants that i thought were just weeds argg

I have the best luck with the oriental type of eggplants with the long skinny fruits. My egg plants with the big giant fruits never seem to do well with our humidty. I ordered some rare orange egg plant seeds but haven't planted them yet. I am probably going to hold off till next spring for those.

youre lucky i usually dont have much luck at all with planting. the one fruit that has started to grow is smaller than a small egg i hope it keeps growing and doesnt die.

I getting at the moment too into growing exotic fruits. I ordered three passion fruit plants and planing on planting some Marula trees, kiwis, ground cherries and banana plants.
I plan on grow the passion fruit around my chicken runs, the plants seem to grow there extremly good cause the chicken poop and the chicken get some protection against predators.

You will love the passionfruit mylittlechicken. Dont give up on the normal eggplants Flgardengirl. I had exactly the oppisite happen. I kept getting the skinny ones and they crapped out and this year they finally worked and did great. My regular big eggplants always do great. I buy the little started plants from lowes or home depot.(bonnies brandname) Im gonna pick me some tonight .

How long it takes for the passion fruit to get fruits? We have some wild passionflowers here, just no fruits yet. But the wild ones grow like crazy. Anyway, I ordered already large grown plants and hope for fruits this summer.
Does somebody have experience with Lychee plants?
