anyone know what kind of birds these are?

    The hen is a light brown leghorn for sure. The cockerels? First MAY be a cross and second may be a marans.

    thanks for your info they were hatched by some of my chickens that I had bought at our feed store and I did not know what kind they were. The dad looks like them he has a top knot and the pretty gold feathers .I am going to have to find a home for some of the roosters .thanks again for youe info

    the top rooster looks like a rhode island red, maybe a mix. the next rooster looks like a black copper marans, and the hen is either a brown leghorn,or a welsummer.

    White earlobes = leghorn. Welsummers have red earlobes.

    Thanks everyone does the earlobe hold true for just the hen or also for the roosters I have had chickens for 2 years but I am finding out how much I do not know. This website has been wonderful for info from people who know all these things Thanks so much.

    They are crosses , unless she has pure leghorns in a seperate breeding pen then they are all crosses.

    the earlobes are true for the males as well
