lol We buy clean bales of it . Of course one can rake it and get a lot of trash in it ; I prefer to buy a bale , it's half the size of a hay bale and will last me a year .
Hey, I'm from Texas and never heard of "pine straw" till I started reading BYC!
I always called them pine needles. But I did see them at a feed store recently, something I never encountered before and I've been visiting feed stores more than 30 years. And rather than buy them, I just use a rake in my yard. Course not everyone has pine trees.
