Thanks, Kelsey! Yes, that is quite old for the breed. Her hips are pretty bad and she has arthritis, but she'll still "run" to the pond for a swim. She's my heart

Newfs are amazing dogs, but they do take a lot of care. Regular grooming/brushing, plenty of exercise, good socialization. They can get very big and big dogs can hurt people/things by pure accident. But they've got the best temperament. I just love this breed.

Newfies are great dogs, but beware, they DROOL! And I mean rivers of drool. If you can handle that, then you are looking at a wonderful family dog.

They definitely have a lot of hair!! And drool!! So much drool LOL

Yes they are definitely major droolers!! That’s why I like Leonbergers. They supposedly have a dry mouth lol Newfs are amazing though.

I’ve heard if you’re swimming with one to watch out because they don’t like it and will constantly try to “rescue” you LOL
