Hatch-Along - Anyone planning to hatch out around St. Patrick's Day?

I have ordered some hatching eggs (chicken eggs) and should be ready to start incubating around February 24-25th. Anyone interested in sharing the experience in a hatch-a-long?

I grew up in Winter Haven long ago when it was a much smaller town and the biggest thing going was Cypress Gardens! So cool to see someone from my old stompin' grounds.

If I have fertile eggs I might join you. I just put a new roo in with my girls so I'll need to be sure he's doing his job before I make any commitments. Sounds like fun, though!

I moved here a little over 3 years ago for a job and like the area very much! The Plant City Strawberry Festival starts next week. Maybe I will finally go this time, lol.

I hate to admit it, but I never in nearly 30 years made it to the Strawberry Festival. I have been to pick strawberries there though--many times. So good!

And yes... I hope he does too. I want to change my flock over to rose combs or similar (because of frostbite) and he's a Buckeye so should be homozygous for a rose comb.

Lol, I can relate. I probably won't go this year, either. I had a brain tumor removed 2 weeks ago and I am spending most of my time napping or eating

Ohmygoodness! Yes you should definitely take it easy after that. Did the docs think they did a good job?

We found it before it did any damage and the surgery went very well. I haven't heard whether the pathology on the tumor is completed, but it is most likely benign. I go in on Friday to get the 36 staples removed. Hopefully no radiation treatments will be necessary.

Thank you! They let me go after 2 days. The hospital was overwhelmed with flu patients, so they discharged me from ICU to go home. I'm safer here, lol.
