Anyone raise quail for meat to sell?

Somebody must- there is a middle eastern restaurant in town here that sells roast quail on a bed of rice- there were 3 of them lined up on a skewer, marinated in lemon and spices, and pit roasted. They were awesome! but I haven't seen them anywhere else so they must be considered a specialty meat. The local asian grocery has quail eggs, but I haven't checked for meat . . . I think most people that eat them must raise them. And they look to be eaten more by high end and ethnic markets.

I had not had quail for many years and recently got 6 females and 2 males. Thinking of eggs, meat and maybe sell some eggs to resaurants and pickled eggs to bars. I live in a redneck area and think that the pickled eggs may go over pretty good.

In a small amount of space you can be protein self suffient.
