Anyone ready to ring in the new year...and lose weight/get fit?

ok I am at 199.6 down from 200.3. (That looks bad when you put it that close together) blood sugar was at 89 fasting and then later 129 not fasting. I need to get off my lazy rear and walk it's cold and I hate the cold.
OK new week will try to walk or do the health rider.
Keep up the good work remember you didnt get in this shape over night and you wont get out of this shape over night

oesdog, I'm sort of glad I'm really the only one who cooks here. It sounds like you have just too many wonderful sweets around. You could send you hubby to Texas for the winter, by boyos would like his baking, and you could get away from the sweets. Of course then I would have the temptation.........

They sell "trainers" that you put your everyday bike on and ride inside. I love it. Then if I want to watch a movie I don't have to feel like a lump on the couch. Just remember to put on the subtitles cause you can't hear alot over the spinning of the pedals!

It makes the time go by so much quicker to have something to take your mind off the burn
 
Oesdog, Banoffee pie? Please, please, please send him here. I love banoffee pie. I bet Texas in February is much nicer than Ireland. I could learn to love running....

Try for one small slice, and enjoy. I think I could eat salad for dinner with that for afters. Good luck with your good cook.
 
Well - I excersized and I didn;t die yet!!!!!
Actually it was fun and it felt good after. - Did some excersizes on the Wii fit and then did boxing and Tenis so a really good work out and I actually did break sweat!!!!
I felt so much better having done something other than sit and watch tv repeats for a change. I had a bit of a laugh doing hoola hoops and the ski bit and I am sure you lot would have laughed at me trying to do the foot board thingy. I near fell over my own feet - but I got there eventually.

Funny how your head tells you don;t do the excersize its gonna hurt etc - then when you finally get the guts up to do it you feel so much better in yourself after and just want to do some more????

I am deffinately going to drag the cross trainer back out again and have another go on it tomorrow. I just know I need to get rid of the spare tyre and the only way to do it is get off my big fat backside!!!!!!

I don;t want to go into another weigh in day without loosing anything again.

Cream cakes are the enemy - war on the cream cake - my elastic band is working though I am not sure if it would have been better round my stomach not my wrist

Put that elastic band around your lips or tongue. Before too long it will hurt to much to eat.
