Anyone ready to ring in the new year...and lose weight/get fit?

No I'm not at goal but within 10 lbs of goal, I am also exercising to tone everything up. I do power yoga, it is the only plan I've been able to stick w/. I need to add a cardio, but during the summer I can count walking behind a push mower as cardio.

Once the mower broke again I hired the kid across the street and my yard looks great all the time! I have started cardio swimming and while I have only lost 10 pounds, I feel great my legs are so strong I can jog the dog around two blocks with no effort. I LOVE IT! Keep at it! I still need to lose 40 but have given myself a year!

Why are ten lbs so hard to lose?! I take hip hop hustle, dance jam, and finally upped it with Plyo at my gym (which us based on those p90x, insanity workouts). I lost a couple of pounds, and you know where it came off? The back of my neck. Seriously. I had that little roll of fat back there!

I feel stronger, things are slowly tightening. I shouldn't focus on a number, but it's hard not to peek at the scale!

Silly question but is corn on the cob a bad carb. if you put yogurt butter on it or nothing?

Forgive me for clarifying for my own sake, but I wouldn't think it has very many "bad" carbs. I 'll be interested in hearing other input....I would guess it isn't as healthy as say, a green leafy veggie though. I don't count carbs as much as look at calories, though, so like I said, interested in hearing what other people say!

This is my opinion, corn is definately a carb, but when you eat it "on the cobb" you are getting the whole grain food value of the corn. In my opinion it is not a bad carb, but is a cautious carb, to be eaten sparingly as a treat, not daily, or to replace a truely bad carb (like for instance french fries).

The yogurt butter I know nothing about.

Are you losing inches? If you are working out that much and have a good handle on your calories in you should be losing fat, if you are close to your ideal weight and are not losing lbs, but are losing inches you are probably building muscle. If you aren't losing inches or lbs then

In that case I would input your usual eating habits in a calorie/carb/nutrition counter and see where the problem is.
