Anyone Setting eggs on 4/10/12??? Want to hatch with me?

So, what kind of incubators is everyone using?

I am using an LG still air.... It seems to do fine once I get it adjusted correctly. I have the humidity at about 50% right now.

I set my eggs 4/9. There are 13 Buff Orpington eggs and 3 Lakenvelder Orpingtons. They are shipped eggs so I am hoping for the best!!!! I tried shipped eggs last month, but none hatched because the thermometer was way off. It read 104, so I got a little worried. They weren't at 104, it was at 120. This time I bought am electric thermometer and am hoping that it will work better than the other one. What made it so upsetting was that they all died during lockdown! Before that the temperature was fine. I had bought 18 rouen duck eggs (got 21 with extras) and 12 Buff Orpington eggs (Got 18 with extras). At lockdown I still had 9 duck eggs and 14 chicken eggs. All of the duck eggs were fully developed and 12 of the chicken eggs were.... Anyways, I'm hoping for the best this time :D

Well I just candled them to check the air cells (IDK why, but I can see them better once they've actually been incubated for a little). I don't know if this means any thing from this early off, but I see 3 eggs that are almost completely clear. Two of them are the lakenvelder Orpingtons. I guess I'll see when it has actually been 5 days.

Hello,

I sat my eggs on the 10th. Very exciting. This is my second hatch and I am using a Brinsea 20 advance. I like it and had pretty good luck with it last time. I probably won't candle till day 10 or so. That way I know for sure. Good luck everyone.

I'll join! I started a gob of mutt eggs yesterday (the 10th). I will have to count them some time I guess. I just stuck a bunch in there. haha! Can't wait to candle these kids in a few days!
I love hatching out mutt eggs because they're all so different and I get to guess who their parents are. Nothing wrong with a little variety!
