Are they white or brown eggs? You should see a spider at 4 days (red spot with veins coming out from it) it would be more difficult to see with a brown egg. Don't start worrying yet, give it a few more days.
I'll join you, too. I set 15 German New Hampshires () on April 9th at about 6 pm, so I shouldn't be too far off. I'm using a Hovabator Genesis 1588, and I like a drier hatch - 30-35% for incubation and 55-60% for lockdown. I just finished up with the Easter Hatch and have 19 little fuzzies in the brooder. I can't wait for some of these GNHs to join them.![]()
Can I join? I set 42 eggs in my hovabator 1602n still air, on the 10th. 12 of those are ameracauna/ee's, the rest are australorp mixes of some sort, maybe some pure australorps in there, and maybe some black sex links. I'm excited! I already have a brooder full of babies, but a few more won't hurt anythingby the time these hatch, they will be sold or moved outside, anyway. Chicken math is WAY to easy for me.....haha![]()

As a response to the ISA browns post: I have both of these breeds. Which way did you cross? Red rooster to white hens or White rooster to red hens? Maybe both ways would prove interesting.
I apologize I was told that was what was what the cross was, and I still find references to that cross online, but the more I research the more I find that it's actually a Rhode Island Red (female) and Rhode Island White (male) cross instead. I actually bought these eggs from someone with ISA Browns. I will edit my post.
