Anyone up for a Hatchalong?

Saw some wiggle in one of the eggs this morning!.. and if anyone is wondering it's on day 33

My first 2 eggs are on day 39 and no movement at all and they're not losing as much weight as they had been. I hope they didn't die.

Out of my first 5 eggs only two hatched and both with Wry Neck. the first one has made a full recovery and I'm working on the second. I'm using the silenium and vitimen E. Have any one else had this before with emu? These are Kayla Estate eggs. I'm curious if it is the nutrition of the parrents or humidity/temp issues with the incubation.

I have moved the rest of my eggs out of the homade incubator and into the new Dickey. I have three more eggs that hit day 49 on Wednesday. These eggs came from a local guy.

How sad.... never seen wry neck in the emu, but i haven't hatched out hundreds or anything.... Yes, the vitamin E works wonders. My vet who works with lots of emu says many of the problems chicks have are due to the incubation process. They were seeing lots of leg problems in some of the emu farms, and i believe he said they traced it back to humidity dips etc while incubating... but nutrition plays a part also I'm sure.

I have 4 eggs in ApronStrings bator........ Doodlebug decided to start up again... hehe. I think we are going to see a flood of Emu as pets this year.

We have 4 Emu eggs incubating at the moment, I think we're on day 15. Three are going right aong schedule, but one is lagging in weight loss. I am so excited to be a part of this industry and could use a support system. Btw, just new to byc,......One other question. Does anyone know of Emu farmers in Eastern PA that I can contact?
