Anyone wanna work out with me???

Whew, it took a while to go through all these posts!

Ok, here goes, I'm 50, 5'5" and weighed 140.5 lb this morning.
I got down to 137 lb until DH & I went on vacation with my folks last week. Hidden sources of MSG in processed food and restaurants makes me retain water. Thanks for bringing the ChexMix, Mom! :thun Watch out for MSG!! It might not actually state monosodium glutamate on the label, it might be listed as "broth...hydrolyzed protein...natural flavors...." She KNOWS I don't buy stuff like that because it's hard to resist and unhealthy!!!

Before the oh-so-fun perimenopause/menopause hit, I weighed 130-132. I'd love to be back in that range again.

Anyway, I've been doing T-Tapp 3x a week for 2 months and I lost about 3.5 inches. Its great for people of all ages, fitness levels, and it truly strengthens the core muscles. The side effects are better posture, a smaller belly, and muscle density. No fancy equipment or gym membership needed. There are plenty of before/after pictures, testimonials, and a forum on the website.
The videos are pricey, so check ebay if your budget is tight.

I haven't been eating so great lately, but have been exercising. I didn't go to the gym today because I can barely breath. All the lovely rain we had here in Texas had a nasty side effect of producing ragweed in abundance. Stinkin" ragweed. Normally I only have winter allergies here. If I don't get back on track I won't make my next weighj goal. I really want to be able to tell my knee doctor I lost ten pounds
 
Hey everyone! Sorry I'd been gone a while. Moved mostly everything this weekend. Have been unpacking and dealing with some snags, one of which was the horrible delay in my internet service working.

UNPACKED THE SCALE! According to my scale, I weigh 142. When I went to see my doctor a while back they said I weighed 147. At least it looks like I've lost something!! Lately, due to the move, I'd been eating pretty crappy. When everything's packed and you can't cook..... I'm getting back on track (hopefully) and have cooked the past couple of days. I hadn't been able to input my calories and whatnot into my slim-fast tracker, so no idea on the calories. I'll have to start back up with that tomorrow. Good to hear that you guys are doing well!

I'm sooo happy.
After all that frustration ....I finally see results.
I really was on the verge of quitting. I even stopped watching my diet as close, but I didn't give up on the workouts....I'm really enjoying them..who knew:idunno

Anyhow, I'm sooo greatful to you all for keeping me going.
W/out ya'll I knowe I would have quit....but you kept me strong...and finally 4lbs GONE!! Right out of the blue.

I'm going back to the calorie restriction today, and of course staying with the TJ routine.

CAN'T QUIT SAYING HOW GOOD I FEEL.....THANKS GALS!!!
 
No one's been on in a couple of days. How's everyone doing? I've been maintaining my same weight. I've been really, really tired lately. Just no energy whatsoever. It's terrible. Oh well, hope you guys are doing well. Keep up the good work!!
 
I'm fighting a sinus bug. Tired, headache, sore throat, no energy, upset stomach, and coughing. I'm maintaining, so far, but barely.
The junk food craving is because my throat is so sore and my stomach out of sorts from the drainage. Been eating Good-N-Plenty one at a time, to soothe my throat and settle my stomach.

The coughing is messing up my back, so I feel even less like exercising.

I'm depressed. This stinks.

See? This is why I've been staying away from this post. I'm too gloomy to be sharing.

I'm not gaining at least.

My mom has started a new diet of fasting every other day. Well, almost fasting. She has a limited meal before bed. Every other day she eats whatever she wants and the other days she just has this one meal. (plus tea and coffee and water, as long as there's no calories) She already lost 5 pounds in a week! I might work on accepting my hunger pangs more, but I think if I were to try to go through a workday without eating I'd be too grumpy and distracted to work. It's already stressful enough.
