Anyone wanna work out with me???

Thanks!
I liked it that the exercises looked fairly simple to do. Also, I like the way they showed how to do it as a beginner and then how to make it more effective later. Pictures always help me, too

Well ... I haven't been able to be online much.

I DID lose at least a pound and a half since last Saturday. Which isn't too bad, since I haven't been able to exercise until yesterday when I walked for an hour again. (Unless you count a dance class on Monday that was on-and-off for an hour.)

The stress will be the problem. Although as of this morning, it is officially pushed into the range where I *don't* want to eat instead of wanting to eat lots of bad stuff.

Sigh ... this is like "going on a diet" via the stomach flu. Not what I would chose.

Not sure if I'll be able to post much. Prayers would be appreciated, from anyone so inclined. And I am looking into getting things handled by the proper persons. Thanks all.

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaack.
I've been sooo busy that I can't even get on the board for 5 min a day.
wow......you all have made such great progress, I'm so impressed.

:weee
I, on the pther hand went through a mild depression on Monday.
I stuck to my deit all days except Sunday and even then I didn't go over the "regular" daily allowance.
I weighed myself on Friday and was soo excited that I had lost an additional poound. (total= -3lbs so far)
Then Monday I weighed again because I had gotten so excited on Friday that I thought maybe again ....but noooo then I had gained back 2lbs! What?! How can that be when I have been working so hard and sticking to these vigorous workouts @ least 3-4 times a week.
You guys have no idea how much junk I have cut out in the last two weeks. How carefully I have been counting calories ever since that last chicken wing and sonic slush binge.
There is no place left for the calories to hide and the workouts too....it is SOOO frustrating, I should have lost 5lbs in the deit change alone.
Anyhow, I got back on the scale today for weekly weigh in ....head hanging in depresion... and lo and behold LESS 3LBS!
So its almost back to start, but @ least I'm down 3 pounds total instead of 1.
I feel thinner, but the scale just doesn't say anything positive.

Thanks soo much for listening gals....This is where I usually give up, when I have put in alot of work, watched my deit very carefully and can't see the results.

I'm gonna stick with it for @ least one more week before I say uncle.

start weight 172
week 1 = 170
week 2 = 169

Ok, chiming in here!!! I am 5 81/2 and have gained 10 pounds since I married my husband. A lot of beer and good food has taken it's toll. Before I met him I did the FIRM workout for years. I had gotten down to 150 (with lots of muscle) but now it's beer belly and tight clothes.

I started my FIRM workouts this week and I am planning on losing from 162 to 152 in the next few weeks/months! I was 165 when I started.

Good luck to everyone and I'll try to check in every now and then.

It sure is harder loosing weight at 40 than ever!!! ARRgghh!

Trish.........I'm praying for you.

Jenichick......How do you like The FIRM?
I've been doing TurboJam workouts and I'm nearing the end of my DVD selections. They have gotten progressively harder and I gotta say they are quite tough.
However, I'm afraid once I've been through all of them several times...I might get bored. So I'm looking for another CHALLENGING BUT FUN workout set.

Also,

WELOME ABOARD!!!!

I love the FIRM! It changed my shape completely due to using weights. I've always been tall and kind of flabby (not a lot of muscle tone) When I started I had lost a lot of my waist definition, had a flat rear-end, the girls were starting to hang a litte etc.

After 3 months on the firm I had a significant change in my shape. My thighs got bigger and shapely, my rear got some shape and was firmer, and I got toned. After 3 years of the firm, I could eat more, I was very toned all over (and kindof hot

for a middle aged women). I only lost 15 pounds during that time but I went from a size 14 to a size 8. It's been almost two years of partying, but I can tell I am still more shapely than before the firm. I'm refusing to get that size ever again. I'm about a 10/12 now.

Some of the newer tapes from 2 years ago, the step work was annoying and hard to follow. I like the original one I ordered with the fanny lifter. I just ordered the Transfirmer series yesterday. I noticed they repeat a lot of the basic moves in most of the videos so once you learn those it's not so bad.

Oh Yeah, I meant to say I was 34 when I started the firm, 6 years ago. I looked overweight, but muscle weighs more. I would love to be 145 but after years of working out I never hit that but I was only one size bigger than when I was 21, so I was ok with it.

I sound like an informercial....huh?
