Hi all, this is my first post here.

I started 27 mixed eggs in an incubator on April 24. This is my first time trying to hatch some out in an incubator, but I've had very good success with hatching them out with a broody hen in the past. Sadly my experienced momma hen was killed by a weasel a couple of weeks ago so my wife encouraged me to give an incubator a try. Wouldn't you know it, a couple of days after I started the eggs in the incubator, a different hen who has never shown interest in setting has suddenly gone broody. I let her have a half dozen eggs. Would have given her more, but I'm not sure how serious she is about it.

So I currently have 27 in the incubator (due to hatch out around the 14th) and 6 under a hen (due to hatch out around the 16th).

Went al little dingy and have 50 eggs to set.....
Will do it in the morning because it would be way to late toset in 12 hours.

My eggs arrived in the mail couple hours ago. Gonna set them tonight and not turn them for a day.

I am in, except I put mine in last Thursday but they are duck eggs so they will hatch about the same time. This is my first time ever using an incubator. I usually use a broody so Good luck everyone!
