Anyone with Eggs hacthing around Nov.19th

This one looks like a blood ring, but there are still very good veins, and it is also at the top of the egg. A blood ring forms when all the blood of the dead embryo drains out of the veins to the bottom of the sac where the embryo was.
Blood ring='bottom' of egg, no visible veins
Bacteria ring (this case anyway)=dark ring around top of egg, visible veins.

I have had an earlier bacteria ring though that looked just like a ring in the egg. It was about day 4 or 5 I think. Here's a link that will show you better. I would take a pic, but I just candled all 14 of these eggs, plus 4 due in a few days, and 4 or 5 of my coturnix's, so I really should leave it alone for a while!! Maybe tomorrow!

Just scroll down a bit. I had one before that looked exactly like the first bacteria ring. The one this time looks a bit different.

So far I've candled my wigglers are in there swimming around!

By the way, I recounted... we are due the 19th. Good thing I went back and recounted from day one. I was just making the calender.

My husband is talking about how excited he is to come home today, because we're candling again. I still have 1 of 3 eggs I'm iffy about.

I have 3 eggs due to hatch on the 14th. They are ones that I got out of the fridge after the dog massacre on Oct 23rd. I started with 4. One was clear. Three are developing nicely.

I am happy you have some that are growing after they were in frdge. Sorry about your chickens, but have my fingers crossed these hatch for you.

Well I was down 2 eggs, 1 had nothing in it, 1 had the bacteria red ring. So I have 16 happy babies growing right now. I got more eggs on Monday that had went through alot to get here, 4 were broke. 4 have hairline cracks visable only when candled, and just candled again and see no life in the other 6. There was also 8 button quail eggs in the lot. They are just to dark to see in, so I will just leave them be. I guess on monday if the new eggs still look empty I will crack 1 and see if they were scrambled. How are everyone elses doing? Any updates?

I just candled mine. Out of 14 chicken eggs and 13 A&M quail eggs, I have 12 chicken eggs that are still developing. All the quail eggs are clear, and at day 10, there should be something in them. The egg with the blood ring in it has died, as well as another egg that is a surprise. Hope everyone else is doing ok!! I guess I just have to hope my 2 A&M babies that I already have are a boy and a girl!

Today is the big day!!! I am worried. They are not rocking, pipping and I can't keep the humidity up. I think I killed them. I keep trying to talk them into doing something for me. I was pleading with them last night. When will they (if I haven't killed them) do something???

Please pray for my four little eggs. Let them be survivors.
