Joining very late, as today is lockdown, but thought I would go ahead and share. I started with 8 eggs from a mixed flock of cochins, brahma, EE, and mixed breed banties. At day 5, 6 were developing, and 2 were duds. As of today, I had one quit around day 8, but the other 5 are good to go. I'm hoping one of them is a silkie egg, as my last silkie was killed by coyotes a few days after I found an egg near her regular perch. Fingers crossed!
@Luvducks - My daughter has a couple BEW lionheads in her herd. They're so stunning! Love those blue eyes!

Very exciting! What breed are you hatching?
I have (since day 10 candle) 3 RIR/BLRW crosses( my first eggs ever laid at my house!!) ,1 White D'ucclu,3 Polish/silkie crosses( parents are both crosses so IDK what Im gonna get),2 silkie,2 frizzle,2 cochin,1 BLRW....Then I set 3 D'uccle on 10/7 and set 3 D'uccle and a polkie on 10/15!!
I am loving reading all the excitement but I am so stressed over my hatch!!
This little guy was the one that hatched this morning.
This one managed to trap itself behind my water tray and heat sinks. He is close to being tangled in the thermometer cord but I am keeping an eye on him. As tempting as it is to open the incubator and pull them all out I am refraining.
This little guy trapped himself as well but he hopped back over since the pic.
So, far 6 out of 10 hatched. One in the picture is zipping along and the remaining three have been tossed around and I can't see what they are doing (I know at least one has pipped but I don't see much happening)
It is so tempting to pull the chicks out and check on the other eggs but I am not going too. (Sorry for the dark pictures...these are the best I can get through the glass with a flashlight....it was too bright when the bulb came on for my camera)
We have had eight hatch so far! There are still some rocking and chirping... which is weird, cause we are at 22 days! just had three more this early morning!
anyway, we are waiting for the rest... pictures to come this afternoon later!
