about 6 years ago i found a class ring at a state park almost two hours away. i let my nosy......umm i mean my detective side come out and tracked down the owner about a year later. he only lives about 5 miles from my house. Isn't that weird?

If you have any lilac bushes on your property, it may have been the location of the outhouse back in the pre-toilet days. The lilac bushes were planted near the outhouse to conceal the smell. Often, personal items were lost down the privy so it's one of the places that archeological digs take place on older properties. Also look for depressions in the ground. The further down you dig, the older the items will be that you find.
