Sorry Art.. you gave it a valient effert! Good for you for trying. I have a friend who just hatched out some eggs and she heard chirping when she went into lockdown and had a chick the next morning!!!
I've kept the humidity at 45 all through incubation, but my air cells don't look very big. I can't see inside the brown eggs to see what is going on either. It all appears to be full of chicken with an air cell at the top. I could see them moving earlier. Hopefully they will hatch this week. the air cells are slanted like they should be, but just aren't too big....I was looking at my duck egg that is about to hatch and the air cell is gigantic. Oh well - they will hatch or not, not much I can do about it at this point. It is pretty much a done deal. Send some good hatching vibes this way.
I looked at my calendar and I put my eggs in the incubator on the last day in March in the evening. So the chicken eggs should be going into lockdown this evening instead of tomorrow. I think I have that right. Do you put the humidity at 65???
I can hardly wait until 10:30 am Tomorrow!!! I will be in lock-down on my second batch! I am about to plug in my 2nd incubator and get it heat up and humidity up! This has been the longest 17 days!!!
. I will post updates and pics of my little ones. I will be placing 23 out of 29 in the bator!! I am so excited that many of my little ones have made it this far. However, I will not count my chicks before they hatch I will be
