April 1st. setting.. *hatching*| need a buddy.

I had these chicken eggs laying down, but always use egg cartons to hatch the duck eggs. I don't know whether to put them in the egg carton or leave them laying around.... What do you thing???

Trying to figure out whether or not to use egg cartons or not and they started rolling... I guess I won't cause they are already trying to find their way out. Cool....

Not really sure which way is better. I know I take mine out of the turner and then lay them on their side at lockdown. I have asked about is it better with an egg carrton but had mix reviews. I am personally going to put mine on the side and hope it goes well. I think it is all personal choice on what is better.

I stayed with that duck egg until about 1 am... had to come home and get some sleep. He pipped, but didn't zip yet, so hopefully tonight. I did not open the incubator so he should be nice and moist - staying right at 65. Goodnight!!!!

I have to have my hubby put them in Lockdown. I want to do it myself though. I have asked him to do it, but I do not think he has done it yet. Grrr... I am in bed due to toot surgery.

I hope your duck makes it out soon Tia! I wish us all luck for our hatches!

Ok, this is going to.be tricky. I got up because dh.could not find the red plug and found the temperature to be super his in there. Luckily it was not for long. Cross your fingers! I need all the luck I can get.

I am going into lockdown at noon today. I forgot to candle last night though, so I have no idea what the eggs will look like going into lockdown. Its too light in that room to candle during the day because of the skylights. I am hoping for the best!

My second incubator is up and running and I have 14 dominique eggs in it (shipped) and put in 16 of my barnyard mutts. I think I have the fever!!!! And I havent even hatched my first ones yet!

Good Luck everyone!!!!!
