LOOKIT LOOKIT! It was a leghorn. I went to feed and she was in the box sittin all pretty like. So i checked again. And YAY! It is tinny. And we are leavin it in the box for the manchild to find lol. He checks every day now and has the talk with the freeloaders too. Maybe his six three, 230lb self did the job? Hahahahha. But AN EGG!

He went down to do his daily check after sunday dinner... and hollared hey Ma and egg! We got an egg! They ain't ALL freeloadin bastards now. At least one is payin the rent! Hahahaha. Then he said it so tinny. I had school him that the eggs will get a lil bigger every day.

When i saw him headed out there is jus smiled and chuckled... and waited... hahahah. It was great! Then bout an hour later he went back again to see if he found more. Lol!

My girls will be 18 weeks old tomorrow. They are still freeloading. I talk with them daily, but still no egg. I have noticed that they've been in the nest boxes, so hopefully, they will leave a present soon. I was hoping to get the first egg before I started school/work again. But, I officially started Friday. I hope to have one by the end of this week...

Well, still 0/6, but GUESS WHAT!!!!!! The little Sebright is right now sitting on a nest! She tried them all but seems to like the milk crate....

Will she be my first pullet to lay???

YAY!!! 1/6 laying! The little Sebright bantam just laid the first egg of my April pullets!!!! I heard a high pitched little egg song and went out, and sure enuf, there was what to me looks like a big egg for that little bird...
