April 2020 Hatch-A-Long! All are welcome!

I don't count the first day I set the eggs because the eggs haven't been in for a full day. I usually set my eggs on a Tuesday and three weeks later on a Tuesday they hatch.
Thanks! Yeah I was hoping to see something today but expecting them not to hatch until tomorrow since I set them on a Tuesday but a girl can dream can’t she. Hey! We’re Tuesday hatch twins!

Here's little Zoomy

9 eggs that I set from my own flock - candled, air cells traced, and moved from the incubator to the hatcher. Had decided during the last hatch (my silkies) that I really did not care for the still air incubator I got for a hatcher....so purchased a fan and turned it into a forced air late last week. It is holding temp and humidity much better!

Did the "ring test" on my oldest chicks just for fun - used a flat metal washer from the shop instead of a gold ring. (It is killing me that I have to wait to tell gender on some of the breeds....at least I know what my Bielefelders are! LOL!) According to the ring test - it got the Bieles right - and including the Bieles, it predicts that I have 14 pullets and 4 cockerels. Going to repeat the test, just for fun, every week and see what I get in the end. It was 100% accurate with the first 9 that I got, 4 years ago, when I tested them on week 3 or 4. It was not very accurate at all when I did it on 1-3 day old chicks at the farm store 2 years ago (I ended up with 3 roosters out of 4 chicks when I did it that time).

Up to 5! Two more should be zipping soon.
question though. Their legs look a bit more splayed than I’m used to seeing. Just new legs or something more serious?
That that one in the picture definitely looks like it has splayed legs that need to be corrected. Put it in a cup and keep it in there for a couple hours and let it work its leg muscles.
