Just have the cup be tall enough that the duck can lift itself and see over and it will continue to pop up and down working its legs.

I did it with my quail and its legs are fine now. I did try tape, but try taping a quails legs they're so tiny!

Looks like he's in prison it shouldn't take to long. Try an hour in and an hour out then repeat until it's legs are good.

Woohoo!

Mama hatched the 10 eggs under her, and immediately took the stepped on incubator hatch!

She has 11 now and she successfully moved them to the same pen she hated yesterday.

Last year I gave a rooster to a friend from a really great line of eggs, dark and speckly. She has been making olive eggers from him that are to die for with deep green color and speckles. She had a round hatch yesterday so I think I’m going to add 2 or 3 to this clutch of babies.

they’re ALL blue and black. Lol. There are blue and black birchen marans. Olive eggers that are blue or black, AND all the whiting true blue hatched blue and black. My friends olive eggers from the splash rooster are all blue too. Lol!

My guys are approaching two weeks. On the weekend, I made them an outdoor run. Esther has been teaching them to forage and dirt bathe.

I have been hatching weekly now for a little over a month. I do staggered hatches. I just put the chicks from the first hatch in the chick grow-out coop. They grow so fast.
