April 2020 Hatch-A-Long! All are welcome!

Just have the cup be tall enough that the duck can lift itself and see over and it will continue to pop up and down working its legs.

I did it with my quail and its legs are fine now. I did try tape, but try taping a quails legs 🤦🏼‍♀️ they're so tiny!
Not amused hah. My daughter has the other who is cheeping a storm

Woohoo!

Mama hatched the 10 eggs under her, and immediately took the stepped on incubator hatch!

She has 11 now and she successfully moved them to the same pen she hated yesterday. 🤣

Last year I gave a rooster to a friend from a really great line of eggs, dark and speckly. She has been making olive eggers from him that are to die for with deep green color and speckles. She had a round hatch yesterday so I think I’m going to add 2 or 3 to this clutch of babies.

they’re ALL blue and black. Lol. There are blue and black birchen marans. Olive eggers that are blue or black, AND all the whiting true blue hatched blue and black. My friends olive eggers from the splash rooster are all blue too. Lol!
