April 2022 hatch-a-long (non-Easter, and Easter welcome)

The way it is supposed to go, -if you set in the morning they will hatch in the morning. But if you want them to hatch in the afternoon, then do that.

I got a bunch in the incubator due to hatch in April!

I’ve started cooling and misting my eggs, they are on day 10. I’ve pulled an infertile goose egg and one duck egg that quit. 5 goose eggs and one duck left. 2 of the goose eggs I’m a bit unsure of as they don’t candle well, very dark inside. I will leave them and hopefully be able to detect movement later on.

I had 23 fertile eggs of all my eggs, and just pulled 2 death rings. I am down to 21.

I should have eggs hatching March 20, 27 and April 4 (if I get them in today).

I haven't had a good count yet but I think I have a hatch of about 15 chicks today.

I picked up more eggs from the store that are local.

I have some same kind that are one week in still going...

They are harder to candle because they are dark.
below is one that is one of the MT eggs.

I was putting this egg back in and the incubator turned off, I noticed I had loosened the plug in cord. I pushed it back in. I hope it didn't do that earlier. But make sure it is in good!

7 from the local farm from store eggs
9 from farm that had barred rock eggs including double yolker
Kept all fertiles- removed the 2 death ringers.
and in other incubator 12 again from local farm store eggs. due one week later,

Got a dozen eggs headed my way from ALABAMA Fielder Farms! Super excited to be getting more satins!!! They are so petite and gorgeous! Like the best of both worlds silkie and non! They are supposed to arrive Thursday this week!
