Those NN are so funny! How would they do in a cold climate? I’m in Canada, we get some pretty low temps. Also curious about the rope in your incubator?

Rope is so the chicks cannot play soccer with the eggs.
Here is one of my barred rock eggs going for it...

I hear NN do well in cold weather, I don't know why. Yes pip is low.

Day 26 - official lock down. I gave the eggs a final weigh and they look perfect. Now to sit on my hands and leave them alone. It looks like the duck is having difficulties getting trough the membrane to internally pip, but I'm crossing my fingers that it makes it. Time to get the brooder set up!

Nothing much to report on the chicken eggs. Day 5 for the chicken eggs and some are dark shell so I'll probably wait to candle tomorrow or Wednesday.
