Just set 11 quail eggs in the incubator, the chicken eggs are on day 3 so they should all hatch around the same day. Normally I wouldn’t mix them, but I lost my favorite (quail) rooster on Tuesday and wanted to get a few chicks out of him, but all my incubators are full of chicken eggs

So sorry to hear about your rooster. I hope lots of his chicks hatch for you.

Candled today, day 15 I think.... And movement in all still!!!!!

8 Days in and I'm not near as nervous as I was the first round. I candled 6 eggs that looked good and I'm going with what I've got and hoping for the best.

Going to do some candling tomorrow, day 4 on the newest batch, and might as well check out the others at the same time! Probably have some from the first batch hatch late in the week, since they're banties, and the rest of batch 1 on the weekend for the Easter HAL. Then more for the next weekend after, and the final ones due on the 20th. IF my OEGB decide to sit the now-seven eggs in the nest... If they don't, well, I'll have extra room in the incubator!

edit: banty eggs not due until next week, doh! Not enough sleep in the past few days...
