Yes, you are. My bad. It didn't come up as that smiley, it came up as nonsense letters.

Put we in. I only have 4 laying hens right now, but have several babies in the coop. I'm getting about 30 eggs a week.
Thanks!

Yay, Im NC near Charlotte, I have 6 hens(all heritage breeds, all named) and I get about 2 dozen eggs a week, ill have 6 more hens laying in the fall, so the possibility of several more dozen per week is there. We use a chicken tractor so they graze around on fresh grass all day and theyof course get all our scraps. my yolks are a deep orange and the shells so hard they generally survivie a drop to the floor with out splatting! When can I expect this wind fall of 5 dollars a week? ;0)

If it all goes well on the duck eggs sign me up too. Im getting 16 eggs a day...my dogs can only eat so much eggs you know

This is great! Like someone posted saves time going to the Farmers Market to sell.

I have some questions:
Is there a time limit to sign up? I am starting back up with chickens and figure will not get eggs to late summer. So I am not ready right now to sign up the chickens since I don't have any yet

Do the chickens have to be NPIP (?)

Thank you
Dorrie

I have 100+ hens and I call them all 'lovey'
My roosters have names but frequently those names are *4-letter words*. Will that count against me?

I think we should think about bio-security. If the zone leader is traveling from farm to farm, that could be an issue.
What about a type of 'cooler' will BYC markings that could be set by the road or away from the coop with the eggs for pick up?
