I would love to join!!!! I currently only have 2 full size laying hens (the rest are banties) and usually get 2 full sized eggs per day, but I have 12 chicks that should start laying by the end of the summer! And I can always get more

And of course, they all have names!

Oh, this is GREAT -- I love all the enthusiastic participants! And it's the perfect time of year to start something like this. Thanks to the mods for always thinking of us and coming up with new ways that we can benefit from our flocks.

I'm very interested in participating.

Right now I have 45 hens and get 8-10 dozen a week.

Hens have a 450 sq ft run (except for the group of 8 that flies out every day and free ranges the yard)

My hen house may be too small. It is 12 x 10. But they are only indoors at night for safety.

Wow! I think I can do this!

Let's see, I have approximately 150 laying hens and get about 36 dz a week extra. I give some to the food pantrys for the poor and sell some to customers.
Most all my hens free range but I do have a few in tractors but even then the most I may have is 7 in a 10x10 tractor that gets moved every week. My girls have names, that's the only way I can yell at them when they keep getting under my feet.
I mostly have brown eggs but sometimes have extra blues or greens for sale.

And I have duck eggs for sale, too. Lots and lots of duck eggs from big ducks......... with names! They all free range, too.

This is an awesome program and congratulations to BYC for pulling this off!! Good for you.

We won't join, for a couple of reasons. I get between $3 and $3.50 a dozen now, and I don't wash my eggs until the next day usually.... Sometimes I wash them all on the weekend. Is that bad??

But, if we expand our flock we may reconsider, is there a time when this entry possibility will be closed??

This is so awesome! I currently get 2-3 doz eggs a day but I sell most of mine to customers already. I'll be in interested in the future for sure as my flock is ever-expanding.

But the duck eggs! That's a different story! PLEASE let's get those bakeries buying!!

Oh little Marans I will name thee for this!

Now to wait and see if three little Marans will lay a dozen a week! Hmmm. Might be a good excuse to get those EEs I've been eyeing.
