great idea if facebook were not working with the government ...but hey - they already know then that i got some chickens, because i already AM on facebook.
so yes ...since there are farces in teh government that want to have total control over food ...BeakBook would be SOOO easy for them...and i agree that privacy is an issue.

Two assumptions that should never be made:

• That facebook is competent and efficient
• That the government is competent and efficient.

Thats why I have no fears of a government takeover or of a facebook takeover. Neither one could ever manage anything resembling "total control" over anything.

1. What do you think about this new partnership? I think it will be a wonderful partnership we will be able to get the word out that it's ok to "like" chickens

I would like more awarness of the actual animal, people think they smell bad, don't get me wrong they can but if you take care of them they won't. Just like any other animal. I hate that you in most places you can't have roo's big deal it's an animal it's going to make noise but it's a natural sound, unless you got a roo that's being a crazy chicken and won't shup up then you got to get rid of him.

So would Nifty-Chicken, and a lot of other people. There was a bunch of discussion about this in this Announcements forum, especially back when we made this switch. Maybe one of these days.

I have to say I'm not excited about facebook due to all its recent app changes. I like that it connects people but it isn't as user friendly as it once was. I do like that Mark is a part of our BYC family and wish him much success with chickens.

edited to add: I agree with the above post on the auctions. Since the change I don't buy or even look to buy and won't try to use the new set up at all.
