Is this some April Fools joke? Facebook's lack of privacy would be a problem for a lot of people in the BYC community.

do you use facebook? I have never had to pay to pm anyone. Not saying you aren't correct. I just don't know about this and was wondering if your information was hersay??

If the person isn't a friend and you are messaging them directly, yes, you have to pay. If you want it to go to their "other" folder, which half the people I speak to don't/didn't even know it existed, it's free. I know because I tried to connect with my half sister through her mom and I was asked to pay $1 or send to ther "other" folder.

I have worked very hard to keep my personal information off of facebook. Now i find out that my information is going to be streamlined on the fast track to face book. Well crap. We will see what happens in the next few days.
I like the small cominity that we have here at the moment.

However, that being said, there are a couple wishlist things... We have the reputation buttons at the bottom, it would be nice if people used them more often, so maybe making them more known would be nice. I know TerrieLacy will know what I mean, a friends system that is styled after Ravelry's vs. Facebook would be nice. Just a way to keep track of people you want to be able to contact again.

And yes, the member pages need to be more visible. Another tab at the top where it says Home, Forums, Learning Pages, etc for them would be amazing!!!! And then something on my profile that makes it easier. The only way I can find mine is to have them in my signature line.

great idea if facebook were not working with the government ...but hey - they already know then that i got some chickens, because i already AM on facebook.
so yes ...since there are farces in teh government that want to have total control over food ...BeakBook would be SOOO easy for them...and i agree that privacy is an issue.


i like the name.

IF chickens can be made as mainstream as dogs and cats ...maybe rooster crowing would become part of the background noise growing up and NO ROOSTERS shall have to be killed because he is singing his song....and no baby roos ground up alive.

and those WOULD BE THE BEST OF ALL.

We will be over run with "animal rights" comments,from all corners... Telling us what we are doing wrong,how we can do it better.It's just opening us up to mean comments and bad feelings..(what FB is all about) In our little/big community we all tried to "help" each other and that will be lost...I'm afraid the same he-said she-said drama we all love to get away from by taking care of our birds will be here too...
..what about "privacy".....so are all my pictures and my page that still can't be found from the last change going to be on FB... if I had wanted it on there I would have already had a FB page...

I'm sure this "feedback" request is just to get us ready for what is already here.....

One thing you can do is put the url in the "my coop" field in your profile. Then "My Coop" will appear in your postbit, and clicking on it will take people to your page.
