I checked with my partner in Chicken Math and he has 15 eggs in his incubators that are due on April 1: 1 Silkie X, 7 EEs, and 8 Barred Rock and Australorp eggs. You can add these to my total if you wish.

Wow, we have a LOT of eggs in the incubators! Hoping for a good hatch for everyone!

Oh, and you can update me - I have 48 eggs in. 40+ look to be viable SO far but I'll check again in a few days.

I candled tonight -- day 9,

I couldn't stand it anymore. Out of 20 eggs I had 13+, 3- and 4? I will pull the 3 definite clear ones out tomorrow after I let my 11yo candle them. I want to know if she sees the same things I do first, and it's good practice for her. My 4 questionable ones were 2 BCM's (waaaaaayyy too dark to see anything but an air cell) and 2 EE's that didn't seem that dark/thick but I just couldn't tell. Again, I'm anxious to know what DD sees!

So right now I'm at 65-85% developing -- not bad for shipped eggs. Now to sit on my hands for the next 12 days...la, la, la...

I candled again with my sweetheart looking over my shoulder, showing some interest- down to 14, including ~4 questionable, but I left them.
We had put a dozen longshots in there.
So, I am happy, several of the remaining are from my 2 favorite chickens, a splash ameraucana rooster "splash" with a blue rock hen "marion".

oh, and I weighed the ones I took out this time, they averaged losing just about 5% of their weight so far for the 13 I weighed.

Due to hatch on April 1,2011...60 Barred Rock, 60 Buff Orpingtons
and 36 Light Brahmas.(Well I did the first candling last night
and had 5 BO that were clear,so that would be 55 BO.)

still have no idea whether my green eggs will hatch
can't see through them

but i do know that my 4 rhode island have much movement

I have about 120 eggs due Lock down starts the 31st so I will have a April hatch can I play two?????
