APRIL FOOLS HATCH, give or take a day.....who's in ??

End of day 21 and I got 22 out of 36. One died in the shell and one died shortly after hatch. I guess that's not too bad. I sure would like to get at least a 90% hatch some day.

its day 19 of my hatch and i have egg movement people , i have a problem because i told my girls i have jedi powers and said watch this and the egg moved i freaked myself out a little, lol, but two eggs are rockin in the bator , its gettin exciting around here, comin chics

EMJAY, great job on picking the date and starting the thread, we have had a blast, learned alot and appreciate everyones support. Best of luck to everyone still hatching!
We are definitely already thinking ahead to next years April Fools days hatch! hopefully some of this years chicks can contribute by then.

This is the most drawn out hatch I have ever had! 3 RIR's out, two more zipping, and tomorrow will be day 3 of hatching! I rally hope some of my shipped eggs I spent moola on, start hatching soon. So far just hatching RIR's I got from the neighbor

I am glad we had so many able to join us. We'll have to update the egg tally with baby tally , put them side by side and do a total, once everyone has finished who joined up.

I had a good April Fools scare, thinking I was going to lose so many while I was at work due to the extremely high humidity, to come home to success was wonderful.

Only one baby struggling, has crooked toes, is all gimped, is in a box in my daughters room with a hot water bottle and a lamp. She is hoping his toes will straighten out, I told her its chances weren't in favor, but, we'd give it a chance.

Hatch almost done, still need to count heads, but I have a LOT of chicks. Two eggs still are candling as alive and I can see one tapping and trying to pip. I'll leave those in! I have a pretty decent candler so I can see that another 4 are definite goners. Day 22.

Here they are!! 37 +2. I pipped one that was left in the incubator - was weak and panting (no peeping) but now it's peeping it's head off. Still wrapped in a towel and in the rest of the egg so it's a possible.. I see seven turkens (plus the one possible in the bator), eight light brahma, a bunch of SS (hard to tell those), two grey mutt chicks (my cochin roo + EE), three australorp and the rest are mysteries.

Wow...everybodies chicks look so cute. For those newbies who didn't get any hatched....check your humidity and temps and give it a go again with a few mix/free fertile eggs?? It would be a huge disappointment so I feel for you.
Thanks Emjay? For starting the April hatch thread...I'm usually on the Orpington thread or the Jersey thread or the Michigan thread. I am also in the April contest for Brinsea users...thread.
So....have enjoyed chatting with you all. I'll see if I have blues or blacks with my new chicks...getting almost 24 more next Thursday so here I go again....

I've got 8 babies and a bunch more pips. All but 1 baby is black. I might lock up my Jersey Giant so I can get some different colors! LOL I'm happy, first time hatch in homemade incubator and hatcher! WooHoo!
