APRIL Hatch a long ......Anyone?

Do you have an incubator you can put them in if she does leave them, you can sneak the little ones back in under her at night for the raising.

Incubator is full of Geese and Turkey eggs with a few chicken eggs thrown in... I'm torn between taking them from her and putting them in a makeshift incubator if she will continue to sit them..

Just not sure what to do right now

Are you going to be gone all day tomorrow? or today?

Part of today and all day tomorrow....I think she will stay today, the newbies just hatched overnight...Its tomorrow I am worried about more, or should I be worried about today? LOL... I've only ever had one broody and she hatched out all 5 of her eggs within a few hours of each other..

I just did a search on this forum and found where someone used a small box, an old towel and a desk lamp with a 60w bulb... If the eggs haven't pipped or hatched by morning I will use this set up... The room where I have the incubator also has a humidifier and I think the humidity would be high enough in there... cant use our heating pad as it has a safety shut off after 2 hours

She will stay put today for sure, tomorrow is iffy. I have had several broodies and tomorrow really depends on the broody. If it were me and a I had a pretty reliable way to make a make shift hatcher I would do that. Then sneak them back in after hatch. But I wouldn't remove them until tonight (the eggs) or tomorrow morning before leaving, give them every minute possible w/ the broody, and time to make sure the make shift hatcher was going to be reasonably stable.

Going to get the ~oh crap what did I do hatcher~ ready today and make sure its nice and warm, I'll leave the eggs tonight as I don't foresee her getting off them at night, first thing tomorrow if there are still no pips I'll take them and bring them in...
Ok I feel better, it will be what it will be and never again will I add a few more eggs a few days later!! Way stupid idea! ...

10 more days till hatch day, 7 more days till lockdown. We had 2 non fertile and I think 1 that may be as well as 1 that may have stopped 6-7 out of 10 look great but the eggs are really dark and it's hard to see anything other that a little movement on the inside of a few of the lighter ones.
