I put 48 golden seabright eggs in, due to hatch the 14th of April!
The eggs were shipped, and a lot of the air cells looke horrid, but we will do what we can.
I think this is my last time trying shipped eggs.
Jim
yea... mine too! he is like "whatever makes you happy dear" .... the only problem arises when he happened to actually do the math for the incubator a brinsea 20 advanced and then for the eggs+ shipping to fill it... (this was after he wanted to take them out for some mistake goose eggs we were sent.... I was like "WAIT! those are WAY too expensive to take out for some extra eggs!!!!! we will need another incubator if you want them to hatch!" and then he was like "Wait how much did that cost again? and What DID you PAY for the eggs? Wooooo baby, I though you said buying eggs was CHEAPER than getting chicks!!!!" HEHE OOPPPS
"well it is dear... it is just the type of chicken I am getting and the eggs ARE cheaper for them... I mean half of the cost is in shipping! and I would have to pay that for chicks as well![]()

hubby "chicks at the tractor supply are 3$ and no shipping!!!!"![]()
me "but those are HATCHERY!!! and just regular chickens.... I ALREADY HAVE REGULAR chickens!"![]()
hubby " fine! what every makes you happy! but I don't have to like it!"![]()
Me "I love you baby "![]()
Today is day 7 on my eggs in my incubator and I am going to candle them tonight to see what is developing and what is not! I hope it is a good hatch!
We have found out that one of my bantam chickens has gone broody so fixed her a place in a dog crate with a nest so we can keep her in the house away from the others. I am going to put 3 eggs under her and see how she does! I am working on my second hatch in my bator, but this will be my first time hatching with a broody! If anyone had any tips on hatching with a broody please let me know, this is definately new to me!!!!!! and Thanks in advance!!!!!

Well, so far I am pretty sure that I will not get addicted to incubation. This is crazy. Temps are constantly up and down. Everytime I pick up an egg I end up dropping it. Can't see through brown eggs. No rhyme nor reason for any of it. Driving me bonkers. I know the Little Giant Still Air is supposed to be basic and oftentimes unreliable, but this is ridiculous. Do the more expensive incubators give you just as much grief?
