Araucana thread anyone?

My only Gary bird is a nice blue pullet I bought from Ahappychick. The rest are all out of birds I bought and bred when I started with araucanas so now they are a mix from many breeders.

And, I am soooo excited to say this, but, I've got two Araucanas laying now, one is my blue Cuckoo!!! I'll be setting her eggs to hatch out some Cuckoo eggs very shortly!

Haven't had the chance to hatch Araucana eggs in a loong time, and recently with a bobcat issue, I've not had any production for I believe a month now. It's finally starting back up.

Anyone gonna have hatching eggs available like asap? I have my hovabator going with a round of turkey eggs, i just set them yesterday, so i have untill the 17th to get a dozen or so eggs in and i'd love to put some araucana eggs in there! would anyone be able to ship me eggs early in the week? Looking for blue or splash, even the odd duckwing. I know i was talking with cashdl earlier, maybe others, but my e-mails and pms are so jumbled it hurts my head!

I am excited for you Illia. I love the suspense when they start hatching. What color is it going to be? Will it be tufted? How long for it to hatch once it pips.

I have 1 that is pipping right now. When I moved it to the hatcher yesterday ( there are due to hatch saturday, but so far this year all hatches have started on Friday) this egg was peeping loudly at me, so I keep checking the incubator to see if it has done anything yet. It is out of my ginger red pen. So far all the eggs I have set from that pen have hatched.

Sounds good Lanae, if you can spare it i might like to try a couple of your ginger reds and even a duck wing or two too. I was really hoping to have been able to do a test hatch before getting shipped eggs but it didn't work out, my chickens are sterile, cant blame the 10 year old roo for shooting blanks eh? Send me a pm with the details and we'll go from there!
