Araucana thread anyone?

well how do you think Patches is turning out. He is 3 -3 1/2 months old now. I am keeping him and 2 rumpless clean faced girls for sure. I just love their colors. I have 48 chicks total ranging from 3 1/2 months to 1 1/2 months old.

if you want bantams I have a lot to choose from. I need help to get good pics to post them for sale. All the double tufted ones have huge tufts. I think I have one more rumpless boy with patterned tufts. I will have to look back at some of the pics I tried to take today

Arg! So much temptation in life!!!
I must - must I tell you - focus on my first love and long suffering goal of breeding large fowl blues. I have had such a hard time obtaining breeding birds of the BBS variety (large fowl anyway) and every time I cave and buy a new, exciting Araucana of some other color variety, I end up missing out on a chance at a great Blue, Black or Splash. I am committed (not to mention temporarily broke).

Love the pictures though, keep 'em coming!

Oh Illia you just broke my heart lol!!! No signs of wattles at all. I have a Red one I wanted to keep and thought was a girl then he started getting his long hackles but no wattles. Are they late bloomers??? Might just sell one of my other non tufted boys and keep him

Likely just has smaller wattles/comb, which really is a good thing.

LOVE your other pictured gold duckwing. . . . do you realize he's got the patterning gene going on in there? I mean he's got genuine gold lacing!! Throw a little partridge in there and you've got some partially gold laced Araucanas.

If he was LF I'd LOVE some of his blood in my flock, as I've got some with melanizers, full on spangling. . . mix the two and you've got full on gold and silver lacing.
