Just dropping in for a quick moment, in case anyone is curious to know, my patterned girl "Josephine" is dead, a predator finally got her after all these years of her insisting on being a wild, free, and loose hen. I did get three offspring from her though - One wheaten/duckwing/columbian looking pullet, one blue pullet, one blue cuckoo pullet, all bilaterally tufted. My silver duckwing hen went missing one day some weeks ago, so, I now have a population of 7 Araucanas. And no eggs laid in the last few weeks.
So all in all, it's not terrible here, but not superb either. I just hope to get plenty chicks this spring as well as enough eggs to offer to others.
