I knew they were more intelligent, but watching her work that out was freaky... she didn't try again after failing, either... just chewed me out every time I was near, lol... love their voices too...

Well, I'm on the hunt for a nice rumpless roo, preferably tufted & preferably locally. No color preference.
I'm near Napa & I'm willing to drive up to 2 hrs 1-way to pick up.
Thanks.
How many multiples of two are you willing to drive? I've got three rumpless roos, I only really need one.
Bad chicken enabler!
I can't do a road trip for a couple of months.
Dang.
I can see that their saddle feathers are round, that would be pullets. roos have long and pointed saddle feathers. as they are still young it can change. another thing that helps sexing chicks is that pullets have pale combs and roos red. my araucana roo is about 7 weeks old and his comb is already red.Thank you Ashburnham and Chickengr. The black one has a long tail, it doesn't show well in my photo, it is also quite big. I hope that there is at least one pullet among them but I am not convinced.
