When do we start seeing comb development and saddle feathers?

Combs can pop up as soon as 3 weeks, but the saddle feathers; the male and female specific feathering, starts to show up around 12 weeks.

I only got it today so dunno when the red showed up. It has more a pea comb it seems so even harder to tell lol

Pea combs aren't that hard to figure out. I find rose combs far more difficult.

If it's a cockerel they CAN have big red combs at just a few weeks....I have a BO cockerel who seemed like he hatched with a giant comb, wattles, and an attitude lol
But not all cockerels are so easy to spot until they're older.
The pointy saddle feathers usually start coming in around 12 weeks or so.
