Please don't think that I am stupid...but, where do you find pictures of the various combs in color? I have found black and white outlines of combs and it just doesn't do it for me. I want to know the difference between pea, single, etc...
Question, What are the ones that most of the hatchery's sell?
Hatcheries and Feedstores (which get their birds from hatcheries) sell Easter Eggers. The ABC and many Ameraucana Breeders (including myself) have informed hatcheries and feedstores of their false advertising but, for whatever reason, they choose to continue to mislead people.

Actually that site is a parody and basically pokes from at the ABC. Also, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that you were just trying to be humorous but to say that "some folks decided to chose(sic) 6 colors off the EE and call them Ameraucanas." is an insult to all those Ameraucana breeders who put an awful lot of hard work and effort into developing the breed and getting it approved by the APA.
If one would like to read the "History" page on the ABC website, one will see it was no easy endeaver.
Additionally, there are 8 recognized varieties - not 6.
Btw, I raise, breed, and show true Ameraucanas - and I also have Easter Eggers.
I thought thats what happened. I thought they took 8 not 6 of the colors that they liked of the EE's and decided to call them a different breed. If they all came from the Eater Egger how can they just choose 8 and forget the rest? I didnt mean to offend anyone, i just keep reading post that the EE's are mutts when I think they are all the same. The EE's lay blue eggs also so I thought the APA were just being snobs. Sorry if I stepped on anyones toes. They are all beautiful chickens to me.
