Are Chicken Colds Contagious To Humans?

My pet chicken, Chico and my pet turkey, Thula, got a cold with one eye shut, and other symptons of a cold but I was worried if it is contagious to humans!

Please let me know.

From personal experience, I try to wear a mask when cleaning coops, as it riles up my asthma alot. (I have very mild occasional asthma usually.) I'm not allergic to chickens either.

But they make so much dust, and fungus in the bedding, dust mites , amonia buildup, etc, that everyone should use a mask when cleaning. But
I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Yeah it's likely infectious bronchitis right? I have never dealt personally with that, so no advice for the poster...

Thanks, guess I was a bit paranoid XD but thanks for the tips. I did seperate them if one feels better quickly. Plus I'm taking them to vet today.

Got news, Chico and Thula are diagnosed with Avian infectious bronchitis but in not a extreme case. I asked the nurse in case if it is contagious to human and she replied no. Thank goodness for the diagnosis but I need some help, I been giving some antibiotics for my turkey and chicken.
