Are cornish cross chickens usually vaccinated since they're meat chickens?

Nope and nope...

Meat birds are processed by about 8 weeks in many cases which is often too soon for Marek's to display.

No birds at tractor supply will be vaccinated against Marek's... UNLESS you ordered them that way, as far as I know. There is an extra expense for vaccinating and they try to keep cost low to pass on to us. The expense isn't much and many hatcheries do offer it.

Technically after the chick is 3 weeks old it looses the maternal antibodies protecting it from disease. Mareks can start around then but you wont see symptoms till after 7 to 9 weeks depending on what type of Mareks it is. It is still unlikely the broiler flocks will be affected by the disease because of the young age they are processed at.
