Are eggs really "babies..."?

On the other hand, there was an episode of Star Treck where an alien life form referred to humans as an "ugly bag of mostly water", which is not that much different than "bodily fluids in a calcium shell".

So, I guess it depends on your sense of beauty....

I think that the people that call them babies are planning to hatch them, so, in a sense, they are their babies. My eggs are roonies, nutrition, sustenence, GOOD STUFF!

I once got a coop, 6 hens, and all the paraphenalia from a woman who couldn't stand the idea of murdering babies every time she cracked an egg. She didn't even have a roo to fertilize then!!

I didn't argue, just took the whole lot to an incredibly deserving and wonderful person who treasures them and their eggs to this day.

these same people knit sweaters for their dogs and put dresses on cats..

an egg is an egg,, and a chick is a chick.. a dog is a dog and a cat should be kept outside the house..

I had one woman read me out because I said that an egg is just an egg so if it doesn't hatch, so what?? Oh no! it is a living embryo.

yes it is, and it is just an egg and if it doesn't hatch, so what ??
