These roos are five months old, their hormones are going crazy! Most of the roos I have had get aggressive or testy at this age. My bantam cochin actually got so bad I had to wear gloves to handle him. He would definately have gone to freezer camp if I did not have to show him. After his first show, we had no more issues. I've only had one truly aggressive roo, who did not calm down after a few months, and he went to freezer camp after spurring me in the knee with three-inch-long spurs.
If it was me, I would have kicked him, like a soccer ball. Always connect if you are going to kick a rooster. If they bounce back like a yoyo, keep going. Eventually, they get fed up with punishment and give up. A big grain shovel works well too. A whack with that cools them down. If possible, pick them up and carry them around. But, this only works if you feel up to it. This aggressiveness might be due to "teenage hormones" or it could be the chicken's nature. If you don't feel up to dealing with this bird, get rid of it and fast. You can sell them on craigslist, but very few people want an aggressive roo. I would butcher them, or if you don't want to eat them, give the meat to a friend.
