I don't remember my muscovy ducklings shaking their heads while eating, but then again they are muscovy and are different in other ways. They kind of make an up and down motion though.

What type of water container are you using?

It’s a 5 qt. Harris farms poultry druinkee from tractor supply co. It works well for the first month and a half where they have to stay inside but once they get bigger it will be too shallow for their beaks.
