Are silkies bantams?

    Are silkies bantams, or are they small standards? I read somewhere that it's the later, but I'd love a discussion. I have one silkie and five standard egg layers.

    They are listed in the ABA standard book.

    I dont know what they are considered, All I know is they are not REAL chickens.

    No but seriously. The silkies in the U.S. are all considered bantams. I'm sure SOMEONE is working on a standard somewhere...
